The Associação Escola Suíço-Brasileira was founded on 20 August 1965 by the Swiss community in São Paulo. The classes began on 28 February 1966, at Rua Pedro Taques, in Brooklin, with 53 students.

Since 1996, the School has been a member of the International Baccalaureate Organization – IB.

In 1969, the cornerstone was laid for the construction of the school’s own building, at Rua Visconde de Porto Seguro, where it is located today.

1965 – The Constituent Assembly of the Associação Escola Suíço-Brasileira

1966 – Beginning of activities in Brooklin

1967 – Recognition of the School by the Swiss Government

1969 – Cornerstone of the new school building was laid

1970 – Beginning of the School year, in the new building

1975 – First Secondary Education Graduation

1984 – The first Swiss Maturité diplomas were presented

1996 – The School became a Member of the International Baccalaureate Organization – IB

1999 – Presentation of the first diplomas of the International Baccalaureate Organization – IB

2006 – Celebration of 40 years of Escola Suíço-Brasileira de São Paulo

2011 – Celebration of 45 years of Escola Suíço-Brasileira de São Paulo

2016 – Celebration of 50 years of Escola Suíço-Brasileira de São Paulo
